Verizon has said this week that their deployment of the world's first 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network would hit 39 cities instead of the previously announced 30.
The LTE network will cover 110 million Americans, says the carrier.
Furthermore, Verizon says it is launching LTE in 60 commercial airports in the U.S.

Good. Very good. This is what's needed to have innovation shape up: don't delay the best that you have. LTE is the next gen, and i hope we will have it soon in our area (Upstate S.C.) by next year. Go Verizon!
Part of my hopes they will take a long time to setup Tampa so I can get a triple core 1.5ghz phone by the time the network turns on...part of me wants the network turned on tonight, even if I can only use it with my laptop!

Yeah, but think about KB, even though I agree with you that we need the speed, the sooner they get LTE in my and your area, the more edge up on the competition that Verizon will have against Sprint/AT&T, since it has been said that they will compete vigourously with any telco, and won't take any prisoners whatsoever. The format wars still exist man, even if it is on phones!!
