Spotify, which has long announced its ambitions to expand to the United States, may be getting quashed by Apple in its efforts, if a Cnet article is to be believed.
The music streaming service has had issues gaining the support of the Big 4 record labels, and Cnet says Apple may be a big part of why.

I am sure that apple is doing all they can to stop a US launch for spotify, but it isn't like it would really matter...there are tons of spotify-like services for free in the USA; the only reason Spotify isn't here is because they don't want to be here.
I feel sorry for you guys in the. I've tried a load of music streaming services and none compare to the usability and vast library of Spotify. Hope it gets to you sometime soon!

Well if Spotify doesn't make it here, then there's always Slacker and Pandora to fall on. Don't care for the quality, but it's a hell of a lot better than no free streaming service at all.
