PSP 1000 powers on with blue screen no menu

Trying to fix a PSP 1000 that had a cracked screen. I replaced the screen and it powers on but no menu comes up. Just a blank blue screen. I have a Pandora for a PSP slim and i have used it on a fat before but with this 1000, nothing happens. is the MBoard toast? Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm not massively familiar with the internal workings of the PSP but it sounds like the Mobo may be gone, just try fiddling with the screen until it comes on. But thats about all I know from the internal of the PSP.
