My parents bought an xbox...thought they were getting a good deal. came with sixty games for $250. Good deal...right? But it doesn't play regular games. I know it is modded, so I offered to take it, thinking getting games for it would be as easy as copying Iron Man 2 to my phone to watch as a movie or downloading Twisted Metal to my phone's PSX emulator.
After much frustration, I finally downloaded all six links from Zarth on xbox iso... And now I have Halo Reach in an .iso, but am unable to find consistency in advice as to how I am going to get my xbox to read this iso. Because I do not have any blank dvds, I would prefer to install the game directly to my hdd drive on the 360.
The path I followed led me to believe that somehow a krazies installer would solve my problem, but the instructions I received were to install some C-Xbox tool 2 for making a file with the .iso and this default.xbe in it, which I did... But then I need to ftp the file to my xbox? I can't figure out how to ftp. I'm frustrated and need help. Am I doing this the easy way, the right way? Or am I doing it all wrong? Thanks for your help!

You can't install to the hard drive unless it was a jtag. Just download abgx360 to create the .dvd file and use imgburn to burn.

Zarth's Halo Reach is complete (SSv2 intact).
Install WinRAR.
right-click one of Zarth's Halo Reach files.
Choose "Extract Here".
You will have a .iso and a .dvd file. (if you don't have a .dvd file, do as ModKing said and install/use ABGX360 to create one).
Use ImgBurn to burn the .dvd file (NOT the .iso file) to a Verbatim DVD+R DL disc.

Follow those steps and you'll be playing Reach soon.

Don't ask if you can use Memorex or some other cheap disc. The answer is yes, but they don't always work, so stick to the Verbatims because you are a newbie for now.

I have already used 7zip to zip the six links into a full sized zip file, and extracted it... There was an iso and a another extremely small file... I think I may have deleted it... Is there a 7zip for android?

Ok so what I'm understanding us that this Ungodly-HRsv2.dvd file that its only 1 kb large, is the only file that belongs on the blank dvd? How does that work?

that .dvd file you deleted IS the game in essence, i dont quite know how it works but you need to select that file through imgburn to get the game onto the disc
if you just burn the .iso instead of the .dvd then it will not work properly all the time i burned the .iso andthe game kept freezing and skipping on me, i re-burned the same game using the .dvd and it worked perfect
just burn the .dvd file

The .dvd file sets the layer break to 1917360 which is required for XBOX 360 games.

You know how I feel about that? Music is our culture, as is videos and movies and yes, even games. Any form of entertainment is our culture, and to make someone pay for it is a scheme to steal your money. I don't make people pay me to entertain them, whether it's just for a moment or a week, nobody would. America is so messed up.

Anyways... I won't know if this works until I find a dvd writing drive... Turns out my laptop can read a dvd but can only write to a cd... Odd...

I know you're speaking from youthful inexperience and lack of a work ethic, so I'll try not to "haha" while reading your synopsis of american culture. As an ex touring musician, I don't see how we would have been able to do what we did if NO one paid for anything. I think the tragedy of american culture is relying upon someone else's hard work to get something for free. Here's a tip, the search button is your friend and people have worked hard to provide the answer to your question many times over..."maybe," you should work at finding your answer.

"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

there ARE free games out there that require no monetary payment whatsoever. Maybe you need to go play those instead of bitching about paying, as YOU say, a buck and a half for a PREMIUM game that cost a developer a milli or two, to make.

My friend, you have a lot of growing up to do. I don't mean that as an insult. I mean that as an obvious fact.
