dreambox 500-s problem

hi guys.have succesfully flashed with nabilosat image. I'm trying to scan to astra 28, but when i do i get the message: all known transponders have been tried nut no lock was possible. Verify antennae/cable setup. My other dreambox works fine on the same setup.
Does anyone have any ideas?

if the other dreambox works fine and can lock on to a signal then it would see to point to a problem with the image. have you tried a different image

the image is the same on both boxes, can you suggest what image to use?
Tried the xml fix, got a lock and scanned all channels. Went on to bbc, worked for a minute, then glitched out. I rebooted the box and now the channels dont work and no lock again in a scan. Thanks so far and for any other ideas

use pli image. very stable. just google. best image for dm500. have noted that some recent dm500 machines require the openpli chinese image. your inconsistent results indicate image issue

thanks for help.flashed with jade pli 3.however would not lock on.could it be transistor,someone suggests

bouquets least of your problem. if you cant get lock and sync you need to sort that first

ok.any ideas.whats the chances of a hardware problem,ie,transistor.also xml file fix worked briefly on first attempt,hasnt worked since.

please note i also tried other satellites apart from astra 28 and none of them worked either. I copied exactly what is on my good box onto the non working one but no luck yet.

Thanks so far guys. Just so its clear here's what i've done:
1 flashed with nabilosat - all known transponders have been tried error message.
2 downloaded a satellites.xml file and put it into var/etc - got same error message
3 flashed with pli jade 3 - no lock or sync again
4 copied all files off my working box and put them on non working box when it had nabilosat --- same error again
5 tried erasing 3 times then reflshing - no luck
thanks in advance for any extra help
also,would my warranty be ok after ive flashed box,if i need to send it back.thanks

it really sounds like the tuner in the box is stuffed. i've flashed boxes that i've returned afterwards without any issue. they simply send you out a new one
