They always have to complain. However, games like Reach and FIFA 11 show that a great game can (and will) sell well. Piracy isn't a huge problem, it's all the shovelware that is produced between "Blockbusters".

Regarding Halo: Reach, it was leaked over three weeks early and it still made $200 million on launch day.
