my wii has unmodied original 3.4e firmware and wiikey fusion

i can play many games but i cant play super mario galaxy 2

i learn it: i need firmware update

which update route is best for me?

None. As soon as you update to 4.2 (Super Mario Galaxy 2 Update), your modchip will lose it's ability to play out-of-region games, you will only be able to play games/backups that are in your region. Of course this isn't such a big problem with Modchips, but it is a useful feature to lose.

I recommend you first try installing the IOS the game needs to run before you try updating, since your wii is onlly on 3.4 it is possible to run The Twilight Hack to install WADS. You will need an SD Card & a way to connect it to your computer.

To install the IOS. I can give you the files if you so wish.

Alternatively you could run the disc update & accept the small consequences to your modchip.
