Has anyone been able to play a backup of NBA 2K11? I've successfully backed it up and I can access the game, however, as many have said across the internet, my controller is not recognized. The screen just sits there, waiting for the start button to be pushed. Other games have shared this same fate, such as F1.

I am aware that allegedly running open manager in patch mode will get NBA 2K11 to work, but it hasn't worked for me or many others.

There is the Hermes v3 release that has addressed this issue, but correct me if I'm wrong, that only works for PS Groove-type jailbreaks?

I guess the real question is, has anyone gotten a backup of NBA 2K11 to work on anything other than the PS Groove?

Thanks in advance!

The NBA 2K11 currently can only work with PS Groove-type jailbreaks , I bet more new games need a new firmware support , why not get the upgradable jailbreaks ?

I think the one that I have is not capable of upgrading, even though the stick says so. Is there an easy way to check if your USB stick/dongle is upgradeable?

I have version 1.0, which, according to the reviews, the guys are saying it's not upgradeable. Apparently, only 1.1 is upgradeable. If so, that blows.

ok you still didn't specify what usb stick you have, as there are many that are version 1.0... all that aside I'm assuming you have the blue ps3break V1.0. In order to tell if the ps3break 1.0 is upgradeable you need to check if you have the long stick or the short fat stick
http://www.ps3break.com/Download.asp the long stick has the amtel chip which you can easily upgrade to 1.1 if you have the fat stick you cant upgrade as it doesn't have the amtel chip...unless you do some soldering
