Hi there. If this isn't the correct (or best) forum to post this please redirect me. I've got an 80gig ps3, about 2 years old, and I'm having an unusual freezing issue and would love some help. It freeze everytime I do one of 2 things:
1) I start the game and the game loads up just fine. I can play the game no problem. However, when I try to and sign in while the game is playing, it freezes. Screen goes black, have to hit the switch.
2) I sign in first. It allows me to sign in, no problem. But if I try to start the game while signed in, it won't let me start the game, it just freezes.
So bottom line, this issue will not allow me to play a game and be signed in at the same time. I can do one or the other, just not both. It's very strange and so specific, it almost sounds like a virus. Can anybody help me out? I've tried to do a system update. It updated just fine, issue still stands. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on wifi, and for the last 2 years its worked fine. I'll try going wired though I'm skeptical that's the issue. Remember it connects just fine, I can sign in with no problem...as long as there's no game running. It almost seems like an intentional issue preventing online gameplay.
