Hi.
I recently got a PS3 off ebay which doesn't have picture or sound output via the AV output, but the green LED is there. I already tried to reset the system with no luck (1 beep, 2 beeps). I am pretty sure the console already had a YLOD repair as the applied termal paste wasn't the original stuff (but in no better quality). I removed it and replaced it with arctic silver, with no result. I know that there is some output because on my cable I can select 16:9 or 4:3 output and when I select 16:9 and I switch on the PS3 my TV goes black. Also when I put in a game the blue LED lights up and the disk spins. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is the problem with all these people doing 5 YLOD fixes in a single month, only to put their systems on eBay once they cannot be fixed again...just about every system on ebay needs a full solder replacement; if not more.
I think I am going to try a reflux, but if that doesn't help it's off to ebay again as spares. All other components exept for the mainboard seem to be good.
