hey guys ,
My ps3yes came in the mail yesterdy . I was using my iPhone to jailbreak my ps3 previously. The ps3yes I flashed with the files (Hermes v3)on it's website and when i used it last nite it worked perfectly. I plugged it in
and then flipped then power switch on the back an then hit power and eject. It worked flawlessly.Now this morning when I tried to use it , it wouldn't work at all. Everytime i would turn my ps3 on the ps3yes dongle
would turn from red , then it would turn to purple( the red light and blue light combined). So then i tried my iPhone to jailbreak it and it worked . So after seeing my ps3 was fine I tried the Ps3YES dongle again and it would turn red(loading) to purple after a couple of secs. Has anyone else had this problem or am I doing something wrong? What exactly are the startup instruction when using a PS3YES? Or should
I just flash the dongle again?

Try flashing the dongle again, I have a ps3yes and this hasnt happened to me.
If it still doesnt work then I am guessing you may have a faulty dongle, return it and get it replaced.

Or do you have a slim ps3? If that is the case then you have to unplug the power to the ps3 then plug it back it, then turn it on.
Even with the phat console you have to turn the power switch at the back off, then on again.

I have a fat ps3. I'll try reflashing the dongle
tonite when I get home. I hope it's not the dongle, it took forever for it to be mailed here.

Is there a proper way to turn off the system with the dongle plugged in?

For the phat consoles just turn it off from the switch in the back then on again, you dont have to removed the dongle.
