i had a guy flash my lite-on for cheaper then the cost of the probe and he gave it back with all the pertinent information. will i be able to use that and my sata card when/if ixtreme gets an upgrade?

if he gave you the saved firmware from your drive,,the you can use that to update,,but if i was you,,and i seen this to many times,,to make sure you have the right keys from your drive,,i would flash another drive if you have one,,and test it with your console,,if it works then your good,,when you put a disc in and it says play dvd,,red flag,,just me saying,,and no you dont need a prob,

thanks for the info and advice. people often return false keys? to what end?
fingers crossed there won't be a need to update firmware anytime soon

well alls not lost,,your xbox works,,you can still get the keys and reflash with the update,,iv just seen to many people get screwed by someone else flashing the consoles and not giving the right keys back to you,,
