HP, who acquired Palm earlier this year for $1.6 billion has finally announced WebOS 2.0, the second-coming of Palm's popular mobile operating system.
Furthermore, the company announced the launch of the Palm Pre 2, which will first hit France this week and then Verizon in the United States in "a few months."

The stacks thing sounds good...PalmOS is doomed to eventual failure due to one company having a monopoly on production, but I'm sure it will get copied to every other platform if it work.

LoL...they are just now getting glass...maybe in about 20 years they can start using the stuff that motorola uses today.
god i wanted to upgrade my original pre, but i have it clocked to 1.2GHz as it is, glass isnt enough for me to upgrade. HP give me a phone with webos2.0, 960*640 screen and a verticle slider and you have my money.
engadget seemed to like the 2.0 update, but not the 2 hardware, and i agree. though this was supposed to be released around iphone 4 time, untill HP decided to buy palm. cant wait for CES2011 where HP should be out in full force with high end hardware. currently this is just mid end.
