Hellooooo....

Apologies if this isnt in the correct place.

A 5/6 months back my 360 RRoD on me. X-Clamp fix and bobs your uncle.

Recently it died again, so I went back in and fixed it again. Everything was going fine until last night when I started to get graphics glitches with little white rice grains popping up all over the screen.

I'm going to go back in an tighten the screws holding the heat-sink over the chips, but my question is this -

After tightening the screws do I need to do an overheat cycle again?

Thanks for any help/advice you can offer.

get your console reflowed. xclamp is a quick fix which sometimes do not work anymore after a while

Don't tighten the screws down more. Like helpplz06 suggested, you'll need to get it reflowed. Whether that be by a heatgun or a rework station, letting the GPU over heat won't fix itself.
