No need to worry anymore on how to save your precious Xbox 360 game collection from destruction. Now you can create a backup of any game you want to without having to do any modifications to your Xbox 360 with a new game burning software that is able to create an exact 1:1 copy of the original game, and overwrite any copy protection code there might be on the DVD.
You will be able to save a lot of money, because the DVD the games are stored on, is very vulnerable to scratches, sunlight and any fluids that might be dropped on the DVD. Just save the original on a save place and use the backup version.
With the use of the game burning software there is no need for doing any modifications to your Xbox 360, in fact it is a very bad idea, because any modified Xbox 360 will from November 2009 get banned from the online gaming community Xbox Live.
Another reason is that you will lose your warrant on the Xbox 360 console if attempting to do any modifications.
Using the new game burning software instead of a mod chip seems to be the right solution if you want to, if you want to be able to continue playing on Xbox Live and want to save money by using backup games, to save the original games from destruction.
The game burning software works with many other consoles like Ps3, Ps2, Xbox, Game Cube and Nintendo WII as well. Just make sure to burn the game on the right format of DVD. If using a Xbox 360 you have to use the format DVD9 to save the games on.

3) You need a JTAG'd xbox for this, flashing the drive will not let you do this

My JTAG 36 is cool but I wish it was as versitile as the last generation's 18. I can't wait til microsoft comes out with the 72.
