well thanx to hddhackr ive managed to format it to 360 in a way i think anyway, i have the 3 partitions in xplorer360 but my 360 still wont find it. could it be my 360 slot? and 250gig hard drive. i might just use my warrenty and hope they can fix it
also b4 i formatted it on pc it stopped being detected on my xbox am trying to find an image from xplorer360 to restore it to see if it works

because the Xbox wouldn't detect it, and i read if you format to fat32 the Xbox will format it again. I think the moment the 360 hard drive plugged into my pc those files became damaged or deleted, because i looked in xplorer360 and none of my game saves or gamertags were there, and i put it back into the 360 but no luck. isnt there anyway to get a copy of those files?

Does it work on your computer when you format it to FAT32? If so, the drive is good. If not, then it's bad.
Could be:
Connectors from the hard drive slot on motherboard to board. Usually re-soldering the cracked solder will fix this.
Bad connector from hard drive to sata hard drive connector.

i think he just formated it on his pc and lost the files on the drive that you needed for the xbox to see it,,now that the files are lost,,its only good for 16 out of 250gigs,the rest its good for music and photos,,

because I wanted to copy stuff onto it. thankfully its under warranty and Microsoft are going to send a new one out. It turns out the moment you plug it into your pc those files are corrupted.

to be honest i thought it was pretty straight forward, but now it seems its like some sort of protection, minute its plugged into a computer those files and my game saves, gamertag and everything disappears, all this for some dlc almost doesnt seem worth it
