So I started to jtag my xbox. I just have to do the nand dump and get the dvd key so that I can use the drive (thanks to a bad flash a long long time ago). I have been reading that you cant update the system once it has been jtagged, but my question is how do you play current games? I just got rock band 3 and I had to update my other xbox to the latest kernal.

its that easy? this is a dumb question, how do you do that? Do you have to edit the iso?

you have to extract the ISO into fodler format for it to run on the JTAG. Once in Folder format you can just delete the system update folder

or just use any of the new apps such as:this one. it will auto-delete the sysupdate folder for you while it does its thing. then all you have to do is transfer the folder to your jtag's hard drive (which it will do as well if you set it up to do so).
