I have looked this one up quite a bit and Im still confused. Can you jailbreak MW2?
I have read about the potential danger of PSN with jailbreak. So does MW2 require greater than 3.41?
If not, I assume I can just use an original disk for MW2. But is it it safe to go onto PSN while not in JB mode? In other words, can i JB those are jailbreakable and just play the online games from disk (no JB) as long as they dont require 3.42+?
I hope that all makes sense. Help where you can. TIA.
There is not really any potential psn danger, you simply cant connect with out updating firmware, which would make the jailbreak useless. Currently you must decide to go with jailbreak and lose psn all together, with hopes of it becoming available. Or dont jailbreak and stay on psn. Hopefully it will evolve.
Im not sure if mw2 is currently working with jailbreak, last I read it was not, but that could have changed since then.

So you are saying regardless of the game, you have to update to even connect to PSN? So NO PSN 3.41 or below? Ive seen some youtube videos of game channels for things like MW2. I assume that is for like a private network or invite only and doesnt connect to PS Network? Trying to figure out what to do for my nephew in regards to MW2. He is fiending for MW2, but I was interested in JB.

Exactly, so if your nephew is currently playing mw2 on psn, it is already updated and it is too late to jailbreak. There may be private networks playing mw2, i really dont know. But for now you would pretty much have to accept that you may not ever connect to psn again, or thats the way I look at it, and if they make it where you can, thats a plus.
Hopefully the newer games will become available for backup as well.

I know you say you dont know much about MW2. I dont currently own it yet. My nephew is wanting it, I dont want to mess up my JB machine. I do understand what you are saying about PSN being a no no on JB, but what about the other modes. I do believe it has a Single Player. Hes young and that may suffice for him but I dont want to buy if I cant maintain my machine the way it is.
