Hi. This is my first post. I am having a huge problem with my Xbox 360 backups, and what is happening is that my Wave 4 games will not play. This is a problem because I was able to play them before, without an activator disc. At first, I thought I would just burn an activator disc, but I have burned three, and they give me an open tray error. They really don't do anything. Normally, any wave 2 and wave 4 games would have to be inserted while my xbox was starting up in a way that it would show the word closing even though the drive was closed. Then, I would have to eject it and put it in. Then, I would have to wait until I got the open tray error, and then, I would eject it and put it back in again. Then, the game would actually play. Wave 3 games would play right when I put them in. Now, only my wave 2 and wave 3 games work. And most of my games are wave 4! Only Gears of War 2, UFC 2009, and Halo 3: ODST will work. What can I do to fix all of this so that I can play my wave 4 games again, and maybe be able to play them just by putting them in once without ejecting or putting them in as the console starts.
P.S. I have a Hitachi-LG drive in my Xbox 360, and I don't know the firmware on it because I did not flash it myself. I would do it myself, but I don't have a SATA port on my computer, so I can't.
P.P.S I also own all of my games, but I have the backups because most of my official games are too scratched up to work.
After listening to your corny Napoleone Firecracker-esque, youtube "I hate cellphones rant", the only advice I can muster up for you is that your crappy sHitachi drive is more than likely crapping out on you. They are known for it. Simply replace it.
By the way, I gave this advice to you from one of those 300 dollar cell phones you spoke of (HTC Evo). You're welcome.

Dude, it's a joke. Relax. And the drive still reads my wave 2 and wave 3 games perfectly, so I'm sure the drive can't be crapping out on me yet. And I don't really hate cellphones, either. Again, it's a joke! And as far as you going on youtube before answering my question at all, you really need to get your priorities straight.
Okay. The games are all on Verbatims, except for one of the wave 3 games, but I'm just not sure what it is. As for the firmware, it might already be on the latest firmware. But I can't change it myself. No sata port. My wave 3 games still work. It's also been at least a year since my drive was flashed.
