yes, use this method and power with the 360: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=698256
or you can make your own probe, but personally i tried making my own probe and kept getting "serial data bad". The trace cutting method is a bit harder but it's cheaper (unless you fuck up)

STOP! You can't just pull a number out of a hat and make it your new dvd key. The 360's motherboard is paired with the 360's dvd rom with this dvd key. If you try to make one up, or use a dvd rom from a different 360, you'll get a play dvd message anytime you put a game in. The only way to dump the firmware are the 2 methods mentioned above. The RMA method, and the R707 method(probe). I promise you that you won't be able to get the key any other way unless the console is JTAGABLE (dashboard before version 7371, and an exploitable CB). I'm just trying to save you the headache of having an 8 pound paper weight.

People on here are trying to help infam0us is right there are 2 methods r707 probe either make your own or buy one or the rma method.all of them involve spending some cash if it was free every one would do it.rip some of your original games and then trade or sell them to pay for the probe.
its the best advice ever and if you want to try something else good luck as you will definetly need it.
ps if you cant solder you are s**t Outta Luck!!
