I'm reading on here that this new update is going to make it so the backups will not be able to be played. Is this correct? Or is this just for xbox live reasons? My console has already been banned so basically all I want is for the game to play, I have the first LT firmware. I'm hoping still be able to backup kinect games and have them work, but they aren't out so it's hard to say if they will work.

if you want to use kinect and/or get on live then you will need the new dashboard. if you have any drive model other than samsung(to old for ms to use new security) then the new dash will not allow backups to boot. so you will have to wait for new firmware.

There is new protection. Fable 3 is the only one so far that is not working on the new dash. LT+ will be out any day to fix this. Wave 7 is here!
