Little Help with Jailbreak

First off, hello everyone. I recently purchased a PS3 Slim. It is running 3.41. I have a modded xbox 360 and I want to do the same with the PS3. I have a few questions.
1. What is the best USB Dongle out there right now? I want to be able to backup my games on my HDD and play them without the physical disc in the tray.
2. Is it better to just buy an AVR Dongle instead of dedicated dongle?
3. Lastly, where is the best place (preferably in the US) to purchase these?

I believe one of the best is the minimus avr 32kb, They sell them here link with shipping to the US, Ive seen people having problems with dedicated dongles and there are alot of clones out there that dont offer the upgrade function where has the minimus avr does and you will be able to have discless play with the latest payloads.

It's very easy to program. You can get the ATMEL FLIP software on their website. When a payload is released, somebody usually compiles it into hex for various boards. You can load and delete any hex payload to this dev board in a matter of seconds.

Thank you. So is this the one that you would recommend? Is it easy to program? Would it be easier to buy a 1G ipod nano and do it that way? I am a bit if a noob at PS3 jailbreaking.

No experience with anything else (except with a TI-84 Plus). The AVR minimus is very simple IMO. Good price too. Just one option of many.

You can do it that way also. I have a ipod video 5th gen at thats how I jailbreak my PS3.
I think it would be cheaper to get a dongle instead of an ipod unless you have one lying around.

Is there a step by step guide on how to jailbreak a ps3? I would like to use the ipod method but I cant seem to find a good guide. Thanks for the help.
