I naively thought that I had stopped shot of dumping the Hitachi FW and was expecting it to still play originals etc. I’ve re-read the tut and obviously the FW has been dumped at the point that I got the message to save the FW etc. I now have Hitachi OFW bin and key bin so am I right in thinking that I have to flash iXtreme in the Hitachi tab using the original firmware as the source?

I thought there was a sort of half way house where you could extract and save the FW without flashing the drive. Happy to use this but thought I could keep the Hit for xbox live etc.

Your help would be appreciated as usual.

The steps you should've taken in Jungle Flasher are
Dump Original Hitachi FW
Open it as source
Open Benq LT as target
Click the copy source to target (something like that, JF ain't open)
Write that FW to BenQ drive.

I think where you may have messed up is spoofing a already spoofed FW.
You can just restore the hitachi drive with FW toolbox 4.8 (maybe even JF) and it should be fine..
