Is it safe to update to new dashboard if playing fable 3 original, not backup, with Liteon drive and LT? Or is it better to just not update?

You're probably safer to not update, as it has hacked firmware on it. I don't know for sure, but MS probably has something up their sleeve. Better safe than sorry. We'll find out in the next few weeks to the next few months.

Is it definite that the new kinect dash is required to flag you for ap2.5?
IE, if you don't update and keep the NXE dash, is it safe to play Fable III and other possible ap2.5 games?

Well, since the Ban Wave starts tomorrow, its the safest way not to update especially tomorrow. The Kinect Dashboard udpdate make MS monitor us online 24/7. I'm still hoping that other are answering my questions. You wanna answer? click here.

C4E was asked if retail games on hacked fw were safe and he said they should be.
and dont listen to the guy saying the banwave starts tomorrow, no one knows for sure if/when a banwave will begin. it could start in 5 minutes or in 5 days or anytime no one knows.
If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

Is NXE still safe though? For (all) back-ups?

as far as we know yes it is still safe. but you cant get onlive with nxe so i dont see why it would matter.
it is known that kinect dash plus fable 3(ap2.5) backups can flag you if you are offline tho.

If it's safe then I can play games offline and not worry about being flagged.
I haven't updated, still have NXE with LT. I'm planning on keeping it that way until a new FW comes out. If games out that force the kinect dash I won't update/play them (until new FW).
