Sorry for the qusetion so many people talk about this up-date and have confused the heck out of me. Please answer in simple if you know 100% or do not bother answering if you do not know. I mean no offence as i am just trying to get a reasonable answer they should make a sticky.

Okay i have an elite and its never seen a network cable or a wireless connection and to be honest i could not care its strictly for my back-ups.
However if i update as i am going to buy a kinnect for elite as it has been drive flashed with firmware will that get effected.

IF you update to the kinect dash with the current hacked fw we are using now then it will not load any of the newer ap2.5 protected titles. like fable 3 and more to come. Unless you have a samsung drive which is not affected by ap 2.5

Otherwise you need to wait for new fw or just do not play ap2.5 titles.

Also if you pop in a backup of fable 3 or any ap 2.5 disc while offline with the new dash then it'll flag it as well.
