Long time reader, first time poster (take it easy on me)

I need some help. I have a flashed 360 I keep for offline single player games. I have a regular system for multi-player games. I'm on my way to buy a kinect and I want to use it on both consoles. I normally patch my games to wave 3 to play them, I don't care about being banned cause I never go online with the modded console(not even once).

Question 1. Can I still play my wave 3 patched games on my modded console with the kinect update as well as kinect game backups?

Question 2. Will my profile be corrupted or banned for earning achievements on my offline modded console with the kinect updated dash.

I know no one may know for sure, but someone might know a little more than me. Thanks for reading this and assisting if you can.

if you update to kinect dash then you will not be able to play ap2.5 titles. they wont load and will flag your console and corrupt your profile when you move it to a different box.

you will need to update your fw when new fw is released. patching waves has nothing to do with ap2.5

Oh I see how it works now. I was thinking if the console was updated that I would just be flagged, but now that I know it also corrupts that profile and doesn't boot some games it sounds bad. When it corrupts your profiles that means your game saves as well right?

Thanks I really appreciate the info and quick response.

If I'm understanding you correctly I could just use a offline profile to avoid the corrupt profile issue and forget about the achievements until there is new firmware. I have fable 3 and I've read that is has ap2.5 but I was going to purchase a copy when I go pick up the kinect anyway in order to play it online. I'll do some research now to find out if any of the kinect games are ap2.5

if you play an ap2.5 game on an updated 360 that system gets flagged in itself. so when u connect to live it will communicate to the server that you are flagged and then you are screwed. doesnt matter what profile u are on cuase it logs it in the system not the profile. just wait for new fw and dont play ap2.5 titles on kinect dash at all if you want to be safe.

I understand the system gets flagged if I connect to live. I never have connected the system live and never intend to. The only system I use on live is my completely stock factory model system. The meat of my question was would my offline play on my modded system affect my stock console. I want to keep my current setup of a offline system and a online system.

no the offline system will not affect the online system.
but what i meant was that even if the system is offline it will get flagged when you play an ap2.5 title on a kinect dash. it will only be flagged on your side internally in that specific console and not on the server side at MS.
that is what causes the profile to go corrupt without ever playing online at all with that system. so when you swap the hdd or memory card to the online system it will be corrupted. in the past when you got banned it caused this, but now with kinect dash you dont have to connect to live for a system to be flagged in this manner within itself.
you can uncorrupt it by connecting it to the PC and editing some stuff but its a hassle if you have to do it everytime.
