I have a modded 360. Someone did it for me so i am not sure what was done. I have been able to play every game, successfully so far up till now. When i tried to play Hasbro Family Game night 3 (the 1st wave 7 game i guess.. i dont know what wave7 even means..) it asks me to update something. My modded console NEVER connects to Xbox live. It was Banned when i purchased it, knew it was and didn't care. If i update my modded 360, will it allow me to play all my old games still? My console was MFG 5/28/08. I need some advice on this situation because i dont want to update, and then not be able to play any other games. I have 2 xbox360s One for modded play that is offline only (have about 30 games) and already banned from a previous owner, and one elite, that is for all my purchased games (about 40) and xbox live play.
Someone please tell me what i can do, or rather what i SHOULD do. I dont want to make a mistake and update, and be SCREWED and have to send my console back to the dude who modded it for me (paid 80$ for the modded 360 shipped to me)

Update, you should be fine, as long as its not a jtagged system. If its a jtag then don't. I also suggest going to xbox.com and download the official update and put it on a thumb/flash drive and update that way. I have run into problems trying to update from backup discs before is all.

Same issue here... I put in Hasbro game night 3 and can no longer even get into FSD on my JTAG without updating. The issue is: I can't update... I get the "Update Failed: Cant install the update. The Disc is unreadable" or "Can't Process the update"
Ive got an external HD plugged in and have never gone online with this system... I'm stuck... any ideas?
