I have an xbox that has the NME chip installed...but the system keeps getting the RROD...I was wondering if the drive can be put into another xbox and used that way...if it can do I have to flash the drive?
You have to get the drive key from the other xbox and spoof your drive key to that drive in order for it to work in other said xbox. So, yes flashing is needed.
the modchip is soldered to the dvd drive board. so there is no flashing the key to another drive, you will have to flash the key to that drive and continue to use it, that means in order to use the chip and not get banned you would have to find an xbox with the same drive in it and flash its key to your drive.
