Is it ok to play backups on consoles offline who haven't yet updated to new dash based on all the intelligence gathered thus far (namely fable 3 and black ops)? I have only heard of people being flagged or having their xbox act as banned even offline for consoles that have already updated. Mine is currently not and I am using lt firmware (not lt +).

this is what i am understanding, it is safe to play the games if the dashboard has not been updated, that comes from a post the C4EvA made on IRC, but what i read was a repost so i cannot swear to the contents of that post.

I've updated my legit machine that goes on Live and use the same hard drive on a machine thats modded and stays offline. The only issue is that your avatar feature is disabled because of the update changes it up.

Your only worry is WHEN they'll start using games to force the update before you can play the game.

Ok so just to clarify, it is ok to play any game (including fable 3 and black ops without any known consequences so long as you do not update the console). Is this a correct statement?
