I put in 12 bramd new batteries in the controller and vehicle. Every now and then I see a random voltage drop and the controller warns me that I have low batteries. Mainly if I get far from the RC. Is this normal?

Its probably the cheapest brushed motor with a ECS from a cracker jacks box. General rule of thumb, if an RC only uses AA batteries, its the cheapest pos you can think of.

So it's not a faulty car? I had 2, the first one was just really scratched up and the trim didn't stat adjusted so I exchanged it but I left my batteries inside by mistake. This one just acts like it has low batteries. It's because of the bad motor draining the power?
