I am trying to create a vcd or svcd from a .avi file that I have so I can watch it on my television.
I am using TMPGENC. First I can't get the screen size correct. When I watch it on the computer it appears to be wide screen.
I created a disk where the movie is stretched so all the characters look too skinny.

What settings do I need to change for it to be wide screen on the television also?

Also the sound and picture do not seem to be in sync.
The sounds seem to come before the peoples lips move.
Can this be fixed?
Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I create a vcd or a svcd? What settings do I need in TMPGENC?
