I have used a seagate portable 2.5 inch drive and it works really well for loading games through usb loader gx.

I would like to find a smaller cheaper drive though that works well. Im kinda looking for something around $50 or under, any good ideas? I really only need about a 250gb.

Thanks

buy a bare drive and an aluminum enclosure. it's what i did from the beginning and it's been working with no problems. no sleep problems either.

it's more than your projected price, but easier to diagnose should a problem appear.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Lol, too bad google does not have a application to teach you how to read and comprehend, if you read again I was not necessarily referring to hard drive compatibility with the loader, although I did mean for it to be taken into consideration. I have used several, but I was simply looking for folks to suggest what they feel works best for them at a good price.

Also thanks for the useful suggestion cee43ja1, I have done this with one of my old hd but it is very loud and unreliable, This may be the way to go. I have been curious to know if creating your own works out well generally. I do like the laptop drives that do not require power supplies. Thanks for your input!
