Uncorrupting profile crippled by AP25

I got my offline box crippled from running AC:B, and now Im having trouble uncorrupting the profile I was using. Using CON-Uncorruptor v2 to uncorrupt and HashBlockCalculator to rehash/resign Im able to uncorrupt the profile and use it on my online box, but the gamerscore gets reset to 0. This process worked a while ago when I had another box crippled via a ban, but doesnt seem to be working for this. Anyone have any idea what I could be doing wrong, or maybe I should be using some other tools?

After a few more times experimenting, Ive discovered that it wasnt the uncorrupting, rehashing, or resigning causing the issue, it was the act of using USBXTAFGUI_v31 to transfer the profile to and from the USB drive. Taking a freshly recovered profile, I removed it from the the USB drive and placed it directly back on. Upon booting up the xbox with the exact same profile, the gamerscore is 0 and the avatar is essentially missing. Still in the same boat I was before, but at least narrowed the problem down a bit. Unfortunately i lost my data transfer kit, so Im unable to test if this would happen on Xplorer360 using the standard hard drive.

Un-corrupting a profile can sometimes be a little sketchy. Either try pushing the middle button to sign in or try transferring the profile to the hdd before you sign in. You may still have to recover the profile form live even if you get it to sign in because it may glitch next time you get an achievement but at least you will be recovering your up-to-date profile. good luck.
next time using the same method you may find that it goes with out a hitch. it's really a mixed bag.
*i think you always have to sign in with the middle button if you transfer a profile from one box to another with the thumb drive. its something to do with the avatar clothes not being on the thumb drive.
**also there is the possibility that the ap25 corrupts it differently somehow in wich case i have no idea what i'm talking about. =p

Hi,
Sorry, does that mean even without bringing the box online your profile will get corrupted with the new dash (and trying to run a AP2.5-protected game)?

Yes,
It will corrupt the profile without going online, assuming you played an ap25 game on the new dashboard. It also most likely flags that box for a ban if you do ever bring it online.
Also i found this to be a bug with either xtaf or the kinect dashboard. If you transfer the 0 gamerscore proile to another MU or an HDD via the memory page on the dashboard, the gamerscore magically appears. You can then transfer it back to the USB drive if you want. Slight pain in the ass, but atleast I can still get offline gamerscore :)

Right on I'm glad to hear you got it sorted. I had the same problem, i re-copied my profile with xtafgui a couple times before i tried signing in with the middle button.

Thanks gnoby for all the ideas. You definitely led me in the right direction =). I may just get an xnand to clean up this mess so i dont have to go through this effort every time i swap boxes

AC: Brotherhood forces you to update dash and the game is AP2.5.
Fable 3 didn't force you. I played Fable 3 with no problems before the patch and I am perfectly fine.
