Shop4tech.com has great deals. Also check out their blank dvdr's with cases combo's. Bought 50 spindle and cases for 42 dollars/free shipping! Not too shabby I think.

You're right, shop4tech sometimes has great prices but their customer service sucks. I bought DVD+R discs last year ('03) that worked great. I bought a spindle of 100 this year and the first 6 were coasters. They were the ONLY media I was having problems with. Shop4tech said it must be a "compatibility" issue and charged me a 15% restocking fee (even though the customer service rep I spoke to said it sounded like I got a bad batch, since all my other media were working fine) AND I had to pay return postage. It ended up costing me almost $25 to burn 6 coasters. Needless to say, I'll never shop there again. In fact I'm so disgusted with their customer service (I got two incredibly rude, sarcastic emails from them) I'm thinking of starting a new thread, "shop4tech sucks."
Hope you have better luck than I did.

It was their own brand, if I'm remembering correctly. This is before I found these forums and realized how problematic cheap discs can be. Shop4tech had said they were "just as good" as the regular brands like Ritek. After 6 coasters (interspersed with other discs just in case it was a software or hardware problem cropping up all of a sudden -- and those discs were all fine), I stopped trying and got an RMA.
If you stick with brand names from shop4tech, you'll probably be OK. But for me, their customer service was so bad that even if they offer Ritek a couple of dollars cheaper than, say, supermediastore or meritline, I'll still shop elsewhere.

Amazon.com is having sales of these Riteks. A spindle of 25 costs 13.99$ and if your order is over 25$, the shipping is free!! I ordered two spindles (50blanks) for only 27.98$. I found that other sites offer it for 36+ dollars.

I bought 50 matrix dvd's from shop4tech and only had one coaster. I have now ordered 100 more with the cases for 62 dollars. Check the site for compatibility with your drive. I'm using a lite-on 851s. Shop4 tech also has a coupon code for 10% off any order right now. The code is "july4th".

Their site said the discs I bought WERE compatible with my drive. When they weren't -- as I wrote above, the first 6 I tried were all coasters, while my other discs were working fine using the SAME drive and the SAME programs -- shop4tech told me it was a "compatibility issue" and charged me a 15% restocking fee AND I had to pay return postage. Their customer service sucks -- nothing is ever their fault.
If you have good luck with them, that's great. But I found out the hard way that they don't stand behind what they sell.

P.S. yuppix, what discs did you buy, exactly? I looked for Ritek DVD+R and Ritek DVD-R discs on amazon just now and there's nothing for $13.99 -- the 50-spindles are all $22.99 or more. Please clarify.
