Greg Peters, head of Netflix product development, has said today that Netflix for Android will hit a few 'select' smartphones beginning early next year.
Currently, Netflix streaming apps are available on the iPad, iPhone and Windows Phone 7 devices.

Hmmm, why did the make it for Windows phones before Android? There is like 4...maybe 6 Windows phones in use in the entire world. Apparently the powers that be at Netflix don't realize Android is the 2nd largest used OS even more than the mighty iPhone. There is a bigger market for them in the Android community.
