i have a Xbox 360 Pro 60GB With Lite-On 74850c Drive
i want to dump the key so i can flash iXtreme LT and Later the iXtreme LT With Anti AP2.5
what is the cheapest tool (NOT DIY) that will dump the key from my drive?
oh and just a theory
does the Console Serial Number have any relationship to the DVD Key And/Or CPU Key?
basically could you find the Xbox 360 DVD Key from the console serial
and im including the dvd key being a hash of the serial and about every possibility imaginable
just asking dont flame me

DOSFlash will grab my DVD key from my liteon 74850c drive for free WITHOUT any extra hardware?
i UPDAATED to the Kinect Dash will i be able to open my xbox and use my xbox to power the drive wile i try to grab the key or is that a horrible idea?

yeah i have an Intel 5 /3400 Series
and i plugged my drive in to this computer before and it seen it fine
i UPDATED to the Kinect Dash will i be able to open my xbox and use my xbox to power the drive wile i try to grab the key or is that a horrible idea?

did you dump YOUR key with dosflash?
and what steps did you do to make sure you have the right key?

i do need both though?
do you know any place i can get them used or something there has to be a pile of them that were only used once or twice not EVERYONE out there that bought it and started a small bussiness of flashing them
christmas is coming up so any penny i can save would be awesome
and i dont have a serial port
i have an Intel H57 chipset so i need USB support which one has USB?

i dont i have an Intel H57 Chipset
it dosent include any serial ports
i found a few forums across the Xbox 360 Modding universe that say it IS possible to dump the DVD Key with just SATA so im gonna try that
hopefully it will work

there is only 2 ways to dump the key from that drive, with a probe or mra by cutting traces, the probe does allow you to retrieve the key without cutting the traces, that is why it is the best method, although it does not do a full dump, like laser calibration, this is acquired only by cutting the traces. there is now way to get that key without one of those two methods.

ok so the probe plugs into a R707 could i just plug a paper clip in there and will it dump it?
becaues i dont see the probe plug into anything and the CK3 is for powering the drive and it just connects to SATA so something is going on that wouldnt require special expensive hardware

OMG. Please read the various threads on flashing these drives. You need to BUY a via chip set card $10, xtractor and probe for another $35 or pay someone to do it.

the probe does plug into the ck3. it goes where the powerplug for the drive goes as it is all built into one cable

well ok i didnt know that it plugged in i didnt see any where that it plugged in
well does anyone know where to get one for cheap?
everywhere i have looked say 50 for the CK3 and 30 for the Probe
and somewhere someone said that you can dump the key WITH ONLY a Probe?

There are 2 ways to flash the lite-on 7xxx series drives, in all cases its best to use a VIA 6421a SATA card
1) Full Dump : This involves either cutting traces, soldering some wires and a resistor on the drives PCB or cutting traces, using a purchsed probe like the CK3 then repairing the cut traces
2) Use a probe on the r707 on the drives PCB an retriving only the drive key
The first method is recommended as its a full firmware dump and is safer on xbox live, the second is easier. If you are inexperienced I would alway go with the R707 probe. You can also make your own probe, there is a guide on here on how to do it. Then simply follow the Jungle Flasher PDF for the rest (Google it)

as i havent ever cut traces or done anything with a pcb before and i havent soldered
i would fuck up the drive if i did the first one

i was just looking at pictures of different probes to buy now that LT+ is out, and i dont see how i just buy a probe and get my key
as the probe plugs into the CK3
is it possible to get the dvd key to my computer just using a probe?

Wait, hold on, you don't need to buy ANYTHING!!!
Try making a probe with this thread, http://tinyurl.com/yjrmorc .
So that means yes, you only need the probe.
But make sure you read the whole tutorial fully
