I need to find my DLC key, and I need a bit of help. Here is what I have:
- jtagged xbox, with hard drive. Dashboard 1211 (kinect)
- new xbox arcade without hard drive
- xbox live silver account
- USB thumbdrive (as xbox memory storage) with free promo video DLC from xbox live
All the tutorials I find (eg.. google for "How to get DLC on your JTAG XBOX") assume my new xbox has a hard drive and a communication kit for the PC. Well, I dont have that. . . I tried plugging in the USB thumbdrive and see the files:
Data0000 up to Data0016
None of these will open up in DLC Patcher, to find my key. They all give an error, "Not Valid Live File".
Any idea how I can get my DLC content so I can open it up to find the key that is associated with my new Live account? Alternatively, is there a public one I can use?
why not use legit licenses? there are a few forums that give those out, just live accounts that are stripped of there gamertag and everything else, all that is left is the licenses, and you sign into your own account with the first controller, and the stripped down account with the second controller and your usually good to go

I am searching for a license as u recommended but still have no leads.
Party Buffalo Drive Explorer just came out yesterday so I used it to extract the promo videos I downloaded free from xbox live. The extracted files did open in DLC Patcher 0.1 but they were void of any info. I am wondering in Live patched that hole or something ??
Are the freebie videos no good as DLC for license retrieval? They cost me 0 points but I did have to go thru the ordering process.
