i have a Liteon 74850 Drive


IF i bought a probe OR made my own probe would i NEED a CK3 Pro/Lite OR any other expensive hardware?

Yes you would need the CK3 pro or Lite because the probe attaches to them

if he makes his own fully working probe then it will attach via the serial port and the CK3 wont be needed. the point of a ck3 is to power the drive and to also allow for usb to serial port emulation so the probe they supply can work.

if the probe he makes is built correctly then he will only need to power the drive with his 360 or some external power source
