I know, I know, I have been to many forums and have asked a question, and someone has probably already answered it, and they will say search, but I have searched, and I didn't see anything for basic subject lines that pointed to the answer of my question.
So, my question is this, I am wanting to upload songs to my XHD, and I have seen many ways to go about doing it, using CD's, using FTP, getting different dashboards, etc etc. I don't want to lose my xlive experience and still want to go online and play with others. I have heard of needing to mod, and some mods won't let you get on live. I would like the most simplest solution available, w/o ruining the fun. And if I can't have the simplest with out doing some work, ie dashboard work, then which one will keep me going with live so I am not left in the dust and my family laughing at me and my wife kicking my @$$ b/c I wanted to do something bold heh. Thanks for the time in advance....

Matt82,ok the simpliest solution is take ur favorite mp3 and burn on to a cd rewritable (like a cd that you would listen in ur car)..after u finish making the cd, pop in the xbox...and there should be an option to copy entire cd or single track to ur xbox... and ur box will convert the mp3....

well dang, i was hopin i wouldn't have to go the long route, but for the sanity reason i guess i should.
I did the search on the forum and I wasn't able to pull up things about ftp, but going back a few pages I saw some things, so sorry for the redundancy.

ya, that's what i have been reading, kind of unfortunate for a pc based system, heh. I mean, I know i could do a mod, but I don't want to ruin the validity of my system just yet, you just think that MS would make something that would allow you to do that legally ya know, say an update to the system that would let you link your live gamertag to an ftp name base and allow certain connectivity to certain files and folders through a certain program? maybe too complicated. I mean it is connected through my router, use encrpytion to get to it? lol as long as i knew the login info to the system. Ugh, well i guess it is back to the cd-rw which take forever to write anyways, or could just do cd-r but i really don't listen to cd's anymore ya know, more so just through digital means. oh well, nuff my rants, hopefully something could be developed legally for this, i just think it would be more beneficial lol. ugh i said enough, thanks for the input, its appreciated.

I just softmodded my XBOX with big fonts and the Phoenix bios and I am still playing live.....w/o a mod chip ;) . But really I payed 30 bucks for the action replay and the 15 for mechassault, so heinsight I would have bought a chip.

well you dont even need an action replay just a CD burner and Internet Explorer. You also need to have your XBOX plugged into your router, there is a way if you dont have a router though. Private Message me your email and I can send ya the details.
