It seems OK. Kind of a funky board tho. As of now you have to use their software on it.
You can read more about it here http://psx-scene.com/forums/f177/new-clone-amazebreak-65749/
I ordered one last night from the official site. I will let you know how it goes. All and all I thought it would be worth a shot for $8.50

Ok thanks man! Let me know. My main mixup is that I've been reading about how the Amaze break doesn't have support for 3.41 through there website or anywhere else....? I cancelled my order but it seemed tempting for the price. A friend of mine has the psbreak and he wants to sell it to me for $20. I dunno though.

Here is the link to their site where you can download the software http://amazebreak.cc/Download.asp (sorry if this is against the rules)
It looks like they have support for 3.41. And like I said before, for 8 bucks what do you really have to lose?

Well i cancelled the order since i was reading a post over at psxscene that scraed the sh*t outta me but it says your just a slave to waiting for theyre updates. But it said it does work. Why would we need to be worried for updates really? The playing online is with 3.51 only?

Updates come out so often that you don't want to be stuck waiting for some company to get around to writing an update. We see an update on a friday afternoon, and it is on 100 devices by the next morning...while "PSJailbreak" users are still waiting for updates from months ago. By the time they get 3.50 spoofing, 3.70 will probably be available. For the same reason, I would recommend against the P3GO...it is a great unit, but it is closed source and constantly outdated.

so what does that mean, exactly? does it mean that when you "jailbreak" your PS3 you can play PS3 backups like when you hardmod or softmod a wii you can play backups? SOrry if I am hijacking this thread but I just want to know what that means cause I was thinking of getting a PS3 or a 360 and was wanting to know if I could "mod" or "jailbreak" one of the two and which would still allow for online play should I ever want to play online.

Can you load games from an external HDD like with the Wii and USBLoaderGx? Is this thing that cost 8.50 a chip or something? is there a guide for all this? Srsly, sry for all the questions, I find this very interesting as I am really wanting to get a 360 or a PS3. What do you like about the PS3 as opposed to the 360? Is it easy to jail break the PS3. Thank you for your time and help. Have a happy and safe holiday celebration!

Yes games can be installed on an external hdd, check the compatibility list to make sure as some games dont. www.psjcl.com
As gaming systems they are basically equal.
First thing the ps3 comes with a bluray drive. 360 is only dvd and its hd-dvd was separate, but now obsolete as bluray won.
For more technical comparison look at this site, http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/111/1116182p1.html
PS3 clearly the better console. and dont forget that if the guys at fail0verflow get things up and running we can most likely expect custom firmware to not be that far behind. This means the true potential of the ps3 can be utilised! Sony

its easy,,first you need to have a harddrive formatted to fat32,,any size,,once you have booted up with psjailbreak,,plug the external harddrive in,,wait 30 seconds, then open up backup manager,,highlight the game you want to backup and it will ask you do you want to backup internal or external, thats it,,

China. WEll a few of the websites are based there. Depend which country you are in really.
I got my dongle from lightake.com but they are also based in china. I say choose which dongle you want, there are quite a few. Then goto their homepage, then see their official distributors list. Order from whichever one you want, the nearest or cheapest etc.

you talkin' about the "amaze" dongle? The Amaze dongle enable's me to play backup disc, right? Would I still be able to play games that I've backed up to an external HDD? thanks for all the advice and tips. I appreciate it. I've got the money and I am just itching to buy a PS3 but people are telling me to get a 360 cause it has more games, but the games the ps3 has are better. anyway, to get back on subject, this "dongle" do I plug it in once and done or do I plug it in a leave it there, and If I have to Leave iT there how do I play games from an external HDD?
