I've done a bit of searching and I can't really find an answer. I have an Xbox 360 that someone has thrown out, but before doing so, were kind enough to beat the crap out of it. After seeing it (someone found it in an alley and brought it to me because I am a little techy) I figured it wouldn't go and was about to throw it out. However, I was curious so I opened it up and all looked pretty good inside. So I plugged it all in and fired it up, and it worked! Only issue is the DVD drive wouldn't eject. So I pulled the drive out and had a closer look. The PCB was snapped just near the points for the laser motor.
So what can I do with this 360? I'm reasonably sure it could work again if I replaced the DVD drive and fan (1 of them stopped working, I'm guessing this caused it to overheat and is the reason it was thrown out and smashed up). But I can't replace the DVD drive without getting the key from the original right?
I already checked the dash version and it has been upgraded past the Jtaggable threshold, but is there anything else I can do with it? I'm guessing I can still use it as a networkable music and video player? Anything else?
Let me know, I'd like to put this thing to some use!

Thats pretty much all you can use it for. Unless you can get the key off the old drive, your screwed...
