Hi, when i was encoding a dvd it got up to 78% and then said error failed to read file D, the request could not be performed because of an I/O error. What could be happening and can i prevent it with another program?

Could be a damaged or dirty disc.

In order to recommend something else, it would help to know what software you're using now.

As Mr. Pudgy already stated, it could also be a dirty/scratched disc.

Hi thanx for those ideas but i checked the disc and it is clean and undamaged. I tryed another dvd but this time it said the same thing at 20%. The programs i am using are DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Do i have to do anything different becuase it is a DVD-9.
