Retailers T.J. Maxx and Marshalls have begun selling the cheapest model of the iPad for $400 this week, offering a full $100 discount off Apple's pricing. Loss Leaders. They are to bring traffic in for holiday shopping. Oh, Marshals has the iPad, honey let's go...... What, you sold out? Okay while we are here, lets buy some shoes, oh and that mirror and this shaving kit for your dad.........

I bet they aren't even authorized retailers. It's cool though.

I have to agree. Their more than likely off the pace for year in sales. Great idea for the marketing person.

lost leader yes but they are not losing money they worked out a deal to buy a million which is billions in money and only to make a small million in profit. Wall-mart is king at this expect them to beat! At least out-sourcing at apple is whipping there workers into shape!
