Sony has said this week that the popular VOD service Vudu will launch on PlayStation 3 consoles starting on November 23rd. Via the PSN, Vudu will offer 1080p HD and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound streaming. Man this sounds a lot better than netflix in terms of movie content released same time as the blu ray copies.

Hmmmm, that's pretty good! Neetflix for older movies/shows and Vudu for the new stuff. We'll see... $2 is still a lot, I have Blockbuster online rental, 3 discs at a time cost $18 which includes games rental too. Hmmm, still average out to be $2-$3 a disc.
