Sup guys,

I have an old box flashed with 1.51 that's banned that I use to play backups, and I have a new box unmodded that I use for XBL etc. I've been using the HD from the modded box because HD's are so overpriced, and I heard that's safe. BUT, I tried to play AC:B on the modded box, and for whatever reason the dash update was corrupt on the disc or something and it wouldn't install. I gave up trying to get it to work and went back to my unmodded box. This is where I got a little freaked out, because it made me install an update when I started my unmodded box. Does this mean I'm flagged because I used my HD on a banned box? I also use 2 different gamertags. Can anyone shed any light on this? thanks in advance.

no swapping hard drives will not get you banned.
to get your modded box working again get a retail copy of the game ACB and boot it and it should update from that. or maybe try to use USB drive to update.
depending on what drive is in your modded box you may need the new FW being created before you can play ACB backups or other AP2.5 titles.

retail discs are safe to use on modded boxes
