ok ethernet cable was in and asked for an update or something so i started it(shouldnt of i guess)

then it turned off and asked for some Security update well it wont even update it and it goes back to dashboard.....now when i try run XeXLoader to run games from HDD it says i need some update to play it? then it says cant read Disc????



what the hell has happened???? my damn cousin tried goin on live and has updated something and now i cant play backups from any external source or anything.

can someone please explain to me waht has happend? and has the my modded 360 just gone dead on me?

well was the JTAG on 9199 dashbard before and then after he did the update it's on the kinect dashboard ? If so you now have a normal Xbox 360.

dunno what update it is? it was working fine before then.

1st time tried to go online. and some system update was required.?


but everytime i start it it asks to do a security update if i click yes it doesnt work just stops straight away and if i go No it goes to the dashboard....

if i try click on XexLoader it asks to update which it shouldnt.

nah i think its fucked rubbish it is.

Doesn't make any sense why it wont finish the update, at least that way you would be able to play games with. When doing jtag your supposed to either remove resistor or bridge transistor to prevent updates from killing jtag. From what I understand when you update a jtag with these things done then it will rrod when you update, and you reflash your nand and continue on. Maybe you got lucky and one of these were done and update can't finish because of that not sure, but I would hope so since there will never be anymore jtags except for what there is now.

You can try to solder the parallel back to read the nand. Extract the kv.bin and config.bin from the nand image, and then inject the kv and config into the old xbr 8955 image. Then try to write to the nand (if the efuses didn't get fried) with the xbr image. If you can make it that far, you could update it the correct way (freeboot). Good Luck!
