Looking for the opinions of the big boys (you know who you are). You medium boys can chime in too :)
Now that LTplus has been out for a day, I'm sure many of you have re-flashed. What is the best way?
- Dump, re-flash?
- De-solder traces, dump ixLT, re-flash, re-solder traces?
- Load OFW (even though c4ve said it's not necessary), flash LTplus?
- Or some other combination?
I got about 12 boxes to re-flash over the weekend, 7 of which don't have their OFW (which I supplied to them on CDR).
The ones where you have the original firmware already go into vendor mode, load the saved firmware as source and LT+ as target, spoof source to target and write. The Liteons where you dont have the original firmware the only method I know of is to cut the traces (since LT disables r707), dump and flash again. BenQs are pretty much like stock...benq unlock, read, spoof, write.
i did my 7 series had the key saved loaded the key,lt etc lite on erase, worked and also did a 8 series v1 the same way,im waiting to my sons v2 that has a 7 series drive but the drive isnt spoofed,so thats good

Still have NXE. Should I flash to LT+ then go on Live and update to Kinect, or update to Kinect then flash?
I think I saw this answered yesterday but my comp's giving me headaches and searching is a nightmare right now.
first update then flash. it minimizes/eliminates the risk that the flash somehow is detected by the nxe dashboard hence flagging you during the kinect update.
