Fable 3 but not NFS?

I had someone flash my drive for me, so I'm not sure of a couple things. Fable 3 works fine for me, but NFS HP does not.

The MFG code is mid 2006-05-11, so I'm pretty sure it's a Hitachi-LG.

I dled NFS
ran it through abgx 1.0.4.
burned at 1x on verbatim +verified
put activate disk in xbox
swapped for nfs
accepted the update
reboot

activate disk then NFS disk, but it gives me "unreadable disk" error
is it just a bad burn? or am I missing something

I don't think you use the activation disk anymore. Just ABGX 104 without padding.

Have you tested the other AP25 title, AC:B?

You'll need to take the machine appart to verify the drive type.

it could be a samsung since it is a 2006 model. if thats the case then you have to patch ssv2 but not ap1.5 for it to load on samsung. its very odd to be honest how the sammys and ap2.5 are interacting.

just take the faceplate off and look in the little hole under the drive tray. if you see black/red wires then its a samsung.
white= benq
yellow =liteon

and if its just a plugged hole with black plastic then its some type of hitachi
