I have a liteon dvd in my 360 and am going to buy a new one (same model and revision number 74850c). From my last upgrade i have a folder with dummy.bin (256k), identify, inquiry and key files (all 1k)now to flash the new drive i will need the CK3 Pro rev d, a compatible sata card, sata cable, molex power supply, usb cable. but will i need a probe or is that soley for extracting the firmware in the first place? and will i need the lt switch?. I plan on downloading the new lt+ for liteon and using my key file ? or dummy file? with jungle flasher to put the new firmware into the new drive.
Im not asking how to do it all as ill read the jungle flasher tut but it will all make more sense when i have the kit. and im not keen on buying stuff i dont need
thanks in advance
Nick
found answers to most of my questions after an evening on the net, it will all become a moot point when the new usb device becomes available. but when is a big if?
think ill wait a week or two.
i think the usb device will make it easier to flash a drive but when compared to a sata card that costs 15$ i think it will be 3-4 times the cost to do the samething. so unless my sata card stops working i dont see any reason to get the usb device.

agreed but as i dont have any tools yet, and as far as i can see this new usb device will ngare the need to open up the dvd drive it makes sense for me,
i have about 5 friends who need lt+ updates doing, so i sure i can get it paid for ;o)
