Hey guys, I've had a xenon for a few months now, and had all the points soldered, but just never got around to dumping the nand.. so I pulled it back out this weekend, and hooked it all up, using nandpro20e, I dumped the nand twice (each time took approx 40-45 minutes). I used the tuturial found on this site.
I used total commander to compare the 2 dumps, and its saying 19 differences found... should I go back and dump again, or do I need to fix something in order for it to read better?
Just redump the nand, I dont think there is a problem with your soldering. My first dump did not match my second. The second and the third were perfect matches, the guide i found instructed to dump three times just for that reason
thanks cubbyfan... i remember when dumping the first time, my screen saver kept kicking in which might have messed up the dump.. so I'll try dumping a 3rd and 4th time to make sure... i'll update to let you know how it goes.
Dumped the nand 3 times, and got Identical dumps with bin #2 & #3!!
ok.... so where do I go from here?? Alot of the info I've been reading up on seems a bit outdated... we all know this stuff moves super fast on the scene.. can anyone tell me which direction to head into now?
Whats better, XBR, or freeboot? Whats the differences?
